Rancho Estero y Mar is currently employing around 50 people, between permanent and temporary jobs. Of these, about 90% are locals, following our founders’ ideals to contribute to the development of the surrounding areas.

We also boost trade in the area by buying all we can from local vendors who can offer products at market prices.

  • Education is an important aspect for us. Hence, we sponsor several management, construction, and maintenance expenses of the local School.
  • Also, every year, we organize a "Waiter School" for the local youth in order to give them some useful training to deal with life. Attendants to the “Waiter School” receive a diploma and recommendations for openings at neighboring restaurants and hotels in the department of La Paz.


  • Aware of the importance of the environment, Rancho Estero y Mar respects the flora and fauna within our facilities, creating a direct contact with nature.
  • Currently the hotel is committed to ensuring the safety, cleanliness and afforestation of a 20-block forest reserve, protected by the Government of El Salvador.
  • In October we carried out awareness talks for all our guests on the subject of marine turtle conservation.
  • In the Hotel, visitors can find a mini zoo, with animals rescued by Police Department, becoming hotel responsible for the caring, health and nutrition of the animals.
  • We sell all recyclable material produced by the hotel, using all proceeds to develop recreational programs for our employees.
